“Those who are the happiest are those who do most for others” — — (Booker T. Washington)

Life is not a bed of roses for everyone. Most of the people in the world work hard day and night with dreams ranging from a simple meal to eternal prosperity. Unfortunately, they drench in the pit of poverty and despite every effort, they are unable to climb out. This issue has spanned the centuries. In a rough calculation of UNICEF 1 Billion children are living under poverty and approximately 22,000 die daily .

It is not skin deep, the chances of impoverishment augment to all aspects of life.

In a poem “ Song of the Shirt” it was written which burdened my heart even more

“In poverty, hunger, and dirt, And still with a voice of dolorous pitch, — Would that its tone could reach the Rich!”

If you have food in your tummy, clothes on your body, roofs over your head you are the fortuitous person because most people around the world lack the basic necessities of life. There are 689 million people in the world that cannot manage to get food. And in Pakistan, 24.3% of the population lives under the poverty line. The sights we get to see on signals, or in slums are very saddened to my eyes. When I was a kid I used to think that whenever I will be young enough to do something for them would be the day I would start believing that this is not something they would die with.

The world is already fighting poverty and then the icing on the cake covid landed and boom you are now hooked to your home with nothing to survive.

In this kind of situation, people mostly look up to some help or I may say children wait for their superheroes.

In such circumstances, we can offer them a helping hand. As Ramadan is arriving soon and no doubt we have plenty of organizations that are already working for them providing rations, but many people are homeless and in any way, they couldn’t get help. So I decided with the help of my team we will raise funds for such people especially children who are waiting for Eid looking for some new clothes. Their smile will be a straight way to our happiness.

We will first gather funds from our team members or our family members and then will create a social media platform to raise funds. As people now trust, people or organizations who engage more on social media

We will then visit areas where children are waiting for their Eid presents or maybe some have buried their wishes to not burden their parents. We will gather not only funds but also if someone wants to donate new clothes we would be collecting those too.

And inshaAllah till Eid we will bring as many smiles as possible on our innocent children’s faces who deserve every smile that this world offers !!!!

These cute, tiny, sparkling needy eyes are watching us. So it is our responsibility to look for reasons for their happiness.
