For me, the word growth means something like expanding my skyline. And before, it was of zero significance to me. It was used for an increase in materialistic stuff ( height, wealth )in my wordbook. And maybe for a grain that went to miscellaneous stages to become a plant and from plant to tree. That’s where my stance changed. Growth is a cycle starting from being a seed to growing your roots than branches, leaves, flowers and then finally giving fruits. That’s what it means to me now to become your true self also to benefit others

In my fellowship this term is used more frequently. Whether it is an MVTP who helps people grow or the leader. It is a continual process of understanding and experiencing

Amal totkay really assisted me in improving my mindset, for which I expended the basic tools:

How did you find the 5 tips?

These tips helped me a lot in broadening my mindset. In Realizing my weak points

What are your takeaways?

Discussing in detail would clarify my takeaways

  1. Self Talk: It helped me in treating myself positively and kindly. I changed my conversation with myself by rewriting my dialogues from : How will I do this? Or I Can’t do this, so I can do this and I have to do this. This gave me a drive where I was able to accept everything coming through the way. It helped me a lot in admitting how much pressure I was putting on myself. And I also deserve all the kindness I give to others

2.Get out of your comfort zone: Being a procrastinator, I have suffered a lot. My comfort zone has played a very vital role in halting me from different opportunities. So this was the major change I needed in myself to get out of my comfort zone. Now I have started doing things or confronted myself with the things I used to fear or run away from.

3. Create new Habits: Starting something new is very risky for me as I always fear the outcomes. but as I had made myself a pact to grow I will do this. To do something new I decided to start cooking as it gives me real panic. I know it is not something new for others but for me it was a very big step to do. I found it fun.

4. Ask others for help: It requires courage for me to ask others for help or discuss anything with them. When I started this journey I was really afraid of what others would think of me. Even I was reluctant to ask for feedback with the notion of what if it is critical? Then Amal totkay helped me a lot in changing my attitude. Asking others about what are their reviews about your advancement and what could you have done to make it better helps you a lot.

5. Fake it till you make it This is something I have been doing for quite some time. when you are constantly doing a thing for months and then you lose the charm but you fake it until you achieve your goal. There is a dialogue in the show “Bojack Horseman”

“Just pretend you are happy, and eventually, you’ll forget you are pretending”

What is my favorite tip:

Fake it till you make it is my favorite one. I believe things start getting done when you adopt them or pretend them

What I have started implementing:

Get out of your comfort zone is the one I had started implementing. Its first proof is getting enrolled in Amal Academy. And tried doing stuff which is totally out of my comfort zone

What can I do to develop a growth mindset beginning from today:

I will develop a growth mindset by telling myself that there is nothing I can’t do. By Believing in myself. By developing productive obsessions rather than being in my comfort zone
